How to become an HYP Member

You or your organization can become a member in 2 easy steps! See below, and contact our Memberships & Partnerships Coordinator, Hilary Kotrla, if you have any questions!

1. Pick Membership Level

Membership Benefits: 

HYP transitioned from being a grant-funded project to being a member-supported, sustainable organization. We’re able to do what we do -- provide affordable (often free) and high-quality professional development for youth-serving professionals -- because of the professionals like you who show your support as members. ​With your support we can continue to improve the opportunities we offer to youth serving professionals in Central Texas. 


2. Register Membership and Pay Fee on JoinIt!

Please register at our Joinit page. Membership is open on a rolling basis. You can pay your membership fee through our membership Joinit page. If you would like to receive a receipt or tax-exempt status or pay by check please contact the Memberships & Partnerships Coordinator. ​

What to expect after becoming a member:

Connect with our Memberships & Partnerships Coordinator

Shortly after your membership registration is complete our Memberships Coordinator, Leigh Ann Jensen, will be contacting you to confirm your registration and welcome you! She will be here to support you with any questions you may have about your membership and will be your main contact for membership updates. 

Coordinate with Our Communications Coordinator

Once you've registered and confirmed with Leigh Ann, you will be asked to send several things to our communications team so that they will be able to promote you and your organization properly. They will be asking for things like your organization's logo to put on the website and any social media handles.They will also then coordinate individual promotions plans for each member to maximize this membership benefit. 

Join Membership Listserv

In your confirmation email, Leigh Ann will provide directions on how to sign up to our membership listserv. This is different from our general listserv for our monthly e-newsletter, the HYPster. This listserv is only for the people who registered and manage the HYP membership at your organization. The membership listserv will be used sparingly to update members about the annual membership meeting and will be used to send out discount codes for conference and leadership training registration. In the case of organization-level memberships, the manager of the HYP membership should forward discount codes to the appropriate employees who will be registering themselves for our trainings.
